Meet The Team

Eric Anderson

Cemetery Director

Eric Anderson, a NC native, joins Holly Hill Memorial Park as the new director with 10 years’ experience serving families during their time of loss. Eric began his career in Wilmington NC serving as the director of 2 large cemeteries and a funeral home in the corporate world and grew very quickly within it. However, with 2 young children at home, Eric Jr and Mayci Grace, Eric found his priorities led him to search for a family owned operation that would allow him to be present and intentional in his role of father and husband. That search led him to middle TN where he served a dual role as director of 3 cemeteries and 2 funeral homes, while also serving as a family service counselor at the largest of the cemeteries and a licensed pre-need funeral counselor. Nevertheless, Eric’s heart missed his home state of NC and his family in Wilmington, and being a lifetime surfer, middle TN was too far inland. In 2017, Eric was approached by a friend who alerted him to a family owned memorial park in NC looking for a new director. Holly Hill Memorial Park, he would learn, was still owned by the same family who began the park 72 years ago and they were looking for someone to come in with a passion for service, a proven track record for success and an emphasis on family values and integrity. The fit couldn’t have been better. Eric began his journey at Holly Hill Memorial Park in Sept 2017 and has been striving to better serve the people of Thomasville and surrounding communities with his wife, Megan at his side. currently serving on the North Carolina Cemetery Commission as a board member Eric’s focus on growing Holly Hill to meet the needs of the families in our area includes creating the area’s first prestige cremation garden (coming soon) and expanding the services offered at Holly Hill from Celebrant services to cremation jewelry and accessories and private niche houses and estates. He is also responsible for Holly Hill now offering a free burial space for any honorably discharged Veteran as a Thank You for serving this country! Currently serving on the North Carolina Cemetery Commission as a board member, his future plans are to create more family events at the park to honor and remember the lives lived and to continue the legacy of a safe, beautiful and respectable final resting place for those who have gone on before us.

Megan Anderson

Office Manager

Megan Anderson, originally from Beaufort, South Carolina, met her husband Eric shortly after she moved to Wilmington NC in 2004. They were wed in 2007 and Megan became a home maker in 2008 after the birth if their first child, Eric Jr. Their daughter Mayci Grace was born in 2009, the same year that Eric Sr began serving families during their time of loss as the director of two cemeteries and a funeral home in Wilmington, NC. It wasn’t until the sudden and unexpected loss of her father in 2014, that Megan decided to join Eric in the service of families during their time of need. It became apparent to Megan that integrity and empathy were vital during such a time, and since then, she has been devoted to providing such whether it was in her role as a family service counselor in TN, or now as the office manager at Holly Hill Memorial Park and as Thomasville’s first Certified Celebrant offering truly personalized celebration of life services. A current Rotarian and board member of the Fairgrove Family Resource Center, Megan has a heart for bettering her community and helping those in need. Megan’s highest priority is her relationship with Christ, then her family and giving her best for every endeavor.

Angela D. McPhatter

Family Service Counselor

Angela McPhatter has been part of Holly Hill for more than 20 years. A Thomasville native and East Davidson graduate, Angela loves her community and the people in it! Her greatest loves are her family including her son and granddaughter! Angela is a supporter of Davidson County Hospice who were there for her family through the loss of her mother in 2014. Angie accompanies her dad, Lee McPhatter, every year for the Hospice ride in July in honor of her mother Carolyn Sue. In fact, it was at her mother’s side that Angie began her journey with the Holly Hill family. They came in to clean the office regularly until Angie’s personality caught the attention of management who asked her to come on board as an office administrator. That was just the beginning of the ultimate plan for Angie. Her genuine care for the families and fierce loyalty to doing what is right had her on track for becoming a Family Service Counselor which she has been for 17 years! You would be hard pressed to find a family in Thomasville and the surrounding communities that Angie hasn’t served over the years. If you took the time to ask about their experience, they would tell you about a woman who is honest, empathetic, caring and will go beyond the call of duty to be there for people during their time of loss and most would say they are forever grateful for having been served by such a sweet lady! To quote Angie herself, “The best feeling is when people I’ve helped make me feel like I’m part if their family and tell me that I have done a good job.”
